kevstevens A superb Album! It's another first-class collection of songs from High Chair. Billy is one of my favourite composers and multi-instrumentalist musicians. There's plenty of drama from the powerful groove of The Waking Man right through to the closing of LifeLine. This melodic album is a journey through different musical genres. There's all kinds in the mix. As a lover of progressive rock I personally enjoy the touches of Mellotron in parts and the vocals are stunning. Go-on, treat yourself!

This is the second psychedelic/pop/prog rock offering from High Chair. Like the first one released last summer (2018) this album is made up of music that was first recorded in demo form over 20 years ago on a reel to reel tape machine.
About half of the album was originally just instrumental tracks that weren't made into songs until recently. Rokiah Yaman, my partner, helped with lyrics, melody lines and backing vocals throughout the album and helped make the songs come alive.
Even though some of the songs are quite noisy there's still a lot of melody in them.
The album was recorded between Aug 2018 and Aug 2019.

Billy is a London based musician and has been playing music for about 50 years. His first band (in the early '70s) was The Mynd, a prog rock band for which he wrote most of the music played Mellotron, Synth and sang lead vocals.
